Data Deletion Instructions

You can ask Stesso, Inc. ("Stesso") to delete the personal information we hold about you at any time, free of charge, whether or not you have a Stesso account. This page explains how. What we collect and why is described in our Privacy Policy.

If you connected a Facebook Page or Instagram account

  1. Disconnect in Stesso. Sign in at channeladmin.stesso.com, open Settings for your channel, and choose Disconnect on the Facebook & Instagram card. This immediately stops all reading and posting, removes Stesso's permissions with Meta, deletes the stored access tokens, and erases the comment content, commenter names and IDs, and post content we received from that account.
  2. Or remove Stesso in Facebook or Instagram. In Facebook, go to Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations (facebook.com/settings?tab=business_tools), find Stesso, and choose Remove. In Instagram, go to Settings → Apps and websites, find Stesso, and choose Remove. Stesso loses access at once, and the data we received from that account is erased within 30 days.
  3. To delete everything else — your Stesso account, the drafts and replies stored in it, and any remaining Facebook or Instagram data — email us as described below.

If you commented on or messaged a creator who uses Stesso

Creators who use Stesso may have your public comment, your public name or username, and an app-scoped ID from Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube. To have us delete it, email privacy@stesso.com with the subject "Delete my data" and include:

  • the platform (Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube);
  • your name or username as it appears there; and
  • a link to the post or video you commented on, if you have it.

Deleting your comment on the platform itself also removes our copy within 30 days, because we regularly re-check comments and erase any that are gone.

If you have a Stesso account

Email privacy@stesso.com from the address on your account with the subject "Delete my account". We delete your account and the data associated with it, including your projects, chat history, and any connected-account data. If you are a creator, disconnect your platforms first (above) so access is removed immediately.

If you used Stesso without an account

Email privacy@stesso.com and tell us roughly when you used Stesso and, if you can, what you asked. We will locate what we can and delete it.

What happens next

  • We reply within a few business days with a reference number for your request. We may ask for enough information to confirm the data is yours; we will not ask for your password.
  • We complete verified deletions within 30 days (7 days for YouTube data, as the YouTube notice states) and email you when it is done.
  • We may keep a small number of records where the law requires it — for example, the record that you accepted our Terms, or records needed for security or a legal claim — and only for as long as required.
  • Replies a creator already published on Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube belong to that creator and stay on that platform; ask the creator or the platform to remove them.
